Parents Love Fat Cat!
Review from a parent and blogger:
I saw this product via a friend's feed on Facebook and thought I'd give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! My kids are eating it up. My preschooler who was previously uninterested in learning her letters has latched onto this product in a big way. She loves the bright colorful letter pieces and really enjoys the creative REUSABLE worksheets. My kindergartener likes it too. She loves to come home and practice what she learned in school. She is even working ahead. I upgraded to the Deluxe Workbook so they practice their sounds in a buch of clever ways as well as work on guided handwriting worksheets. The work surface is the lid of the slide top box. It can sit up so it's like a laptop or lay flat. My kindergartener practices her letters in the flat postion and does the rest when the lid is upright. I love that my girls use their hands and can move around while they do it We have some electronic learning games but I think it's great that this product let's them feel what they are doing. There are a ton of workbooks that go with the box and it does math too. I think I am going to buy the math add-on so they can work on their math skills. For safety purposes the pieces are metal and the work surface is magnetic.

From T. Rice (Parent/Educator):
As a certified elementary school teacher, I can’t thank Fat Cat Phonics enough for creating such a fun and easy to use, hands on learning system. As I began to prepare my own daughter for pre-school, I was searching for the perfect approach to introducing phonics. I found Fat Cat Phonics and haven’t looked back! The Fat Cat Phonics system has helped build my daughter’s confidence in learning by keeping it fun and engaging. At 3 ½ years old, Jordan loves to be “in charge” in her play, learning activities and just about everything else! With Fat Cat Phonics, Jordan can select fun and engaging worksheets that most interest her and immediately get to work. She is able to practice and build her confidence by re-using the worksheets to help reinforce her prior learning experiences, a critical role in successful learning. The combination of the colorful manipulatives, the dry erase marker and the eraser help make it such a fun learning activity for her. Thank you Fat Cat!! ~T. Rice

Review From J Kimball (Parent/Educator)
The true test of any self-directed or independently used curriculum is if they play with it more than once...my girls are now almost a week into it, and still pulling it out eagerly every day! Thanks so much for a great product..can't wait to add more panels and books! ~J Kimball
Review from Heart of the Matter Online - a homeschool/educator blog
The things I like best about the Fat Cat Phonics program are greatly varied. The quality of every single piece I was sent highly impressed me and assured me that this would be a product that we can use for years to come without fear of it wearing out or falling apart. I also love that once you make your initial investment you can buy many add-on’s to the system, including math components, at reasonable prices. I adore it’s simplicity and lack of planning on my part, while also being a learning tool that my son enjoys working with and can even mostly accomplish on his own. Plus, living in a small home without much storage space, I love that when he’s done it all packs up so nicely and can neatly slide away and be tucked out of site. Oh, and did I mention their wonderful customer service?! They are so quick to respond to any questions you might have and definitely value their customers!

Teachers Love Fat Cat!
Review from a Teacher:
As a resource room teacher serving students with a wide spectrum of needs, it is always a pleasure to find something new. I found that these materials worked particularly well with my emergent readers and those with oral language difficulties. I have younger students with poor oral language skills, and the nature of the activities allowed them to demonstrate mastery, even when they couldn’t verbalize skills. The colorful magnets were reinforcing and rewarding for primary students and everybody found them engaging.
