As parents ourselves, ensuring the safety of our product line is our highest priority.
While researching Fat Cat from a design standpoint, we became convinced that we did not want to use small magnets as manipulatives. The damage two or more magnets can do to a small body was just too risky. Ultimately, we decided to flip our original model and use metal parts for the manipulatives with large magnetic sheets serving as our work surface. We are extremely pleased with the results.
Please feel confident that while we do use the term magnet in the instructions throughout our worksheets, this is technically not the case. The only magnets in our product line are the aforementioned work surface of each box and the base of the phonics & math panels.
Please be aware that the small metal parts are a choking hazard for children under three years of age.
Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) guidelines were followed when designing and sourcing this product. We are compliant with lead, heavy metal and phthalate guidelines.
